Katherine is the Head Administration, Financeand Corporate Affairs, COFTU where she also served as the Program and Operations Officer for two years. She has extensive experience in programme development and coordination, personal and enterprise financial management, stakeholder collaboration, client service, and community development initiatives.
 

In her role, Katherine plays a key part in strategic planning; developing, growing, and
maintaining strategic partnerships for COFTU. She actively engages and coordinates with
partners such as Enabel, the International Labour Organization (ILO), the Ministry of Gender,
Labour and Social Development (MGLSD), National Social Security Fund (NSSF), Federation
of Uganda Employers (FUE), the National Organisation of Trade Unions (NOTU), Civil Society
Organisations (CSOs) among other stakeholders. Her work supports the effective
collaboration, programme implementation, and sustainable impact for COFTU, its affiliates
and members.


She previously worked in the financial sector, including insurance and banking, as well as
with community development organisations, bringing a strong blend of administrative,
operational, and partnership-building expertise to COFTU.


With a strong background in organisational management, strategic planning, policy
development and implementation, programme coordination, and institutional
administration, Katherine brings a wealth of experience in strengthening organisational
systems and supporting effective representation. Her people-centred approach, combined
with sound administrative and operational expertise, contributes to the efficient
implementation of COFTU's programmes and the smooth functioning of the organisation.
